AEFF LOGO

The Alaska Experimental Forecast Facility (AEFF) is a new cooperative partnership among University of Alaska Anchorage, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Weather Service (NWS).

In this partnership:

• The FAA is charged with the mission of ensuring safe aircraft travel in Alaska,
• The NWS must provide the observational database and forecasting guidance needed by pilots to make safe, well-informed decisions.
• The AEFF, a UAA entity, brings meteorological expertise and research capability to the partnership.

Together, we work with the latest scientific and technical capabilities to keep Alaskans safe and alive.
